Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . See ZONE 4  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Remove accessory trim plate. Remove A/C and heater control panel. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) connector. Disconnect SDM harness connector from SDM. See Fig 1. Remove SDM mounting bolts. Remove SDM.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten SDM bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. See ZONE 4  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
