Fuel Injection Control Module Harness Assembly Installation

  1. Install the main engine harness connector bracket.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the main engine harness connector bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bracket bolts to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. Install the fuel injection control module harness assembly.

  7. Connect the 3 fuel injector control module harness to glow plug controller connectors.
  8. Connect the fuel temperature sensor connector.

  10. Connect the barometric pressure sensor connector.
  11. Connect the fuel injection control module harness to the oil level sensor harness connector.

  13. Connect the fuel rail pressure regulator valve connector.
  14. Connect the fuel rail pressure sensor.
  15. Connect the fuel filter assembly connectors.
  16. Install a new O-ring to the water outlet and lubricate with engine coolant.
  17. Install the water outlet.
  18. Install the water outlet bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the water outlet bolts to 24 N.m (17 lb ft).

  20. Install the turbocharger coolant inlet hose to the turbocharger.

  22. Install the main engine harness connectors.
  23. Install the main engine harness connector hold down bolts (1, 2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the main engine harness connector hold down bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  25. Install the two engine block ground bolts to the right front side of the engine.

    Tighten:  Tighten the engine block ground bolts to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).

  27. Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector.

  29. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

  31. Connect the fuel injection control module connectors.
  32. Connect the turbocharger boost sensor connector.

  34. Connect the four injector harness connectors.
