Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ashtray housing to the lower IP trim panel.

  2. Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

    Install the screws holding the ashtray housing to the rear of the IP lower trim panel.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the ashtray housing screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  3. Connect the ashtray lamp wiring harness to the ashtray housing.

  4. Install the lower IP trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Replacement .

  5. Insert the ashtray to the IP by depressing the tab and sliding the ashtray forward.
