Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. For driver SIS, see ZONE 7  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.. For passenger SIS, see ZONE 9  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM..
  2. Remove applicable lower B-pillar trim panel. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from SIS connector. Disconnect SIS connector. Remove SIS mounting bolts. See Fig 1. Remove SIS.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten SIS mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. For passenger SIS, see ZONE 9  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.. For driver SIS, see ZONE 7  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM..
