Power Brake Booster: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Apply parking brake. Disconnect electrical connection at brake fluid level sensor. Disconnect brake pipes. Plug pipes in order to prevent brake fluid loss or contamination.
  2. Remove master cylinder nuts. Remove master cylinder and wiring harness bracket (if equipped). On 3500 HD module, remove spacer/retainer. Remove stoplight switch and pushrod. Remove booster retaining nuts. Remove booster assembly and gasket.
