Analog Instrument Panels: Operation: Gauges: Voltmeter

Voltmeter indicates nominal battery voltage (ignition on, engine off) or charging system voltage (engine on). Normal range is 10-16 volts. Voltmeter has a Red band at each extreme end of it's range to indicate charging system problem.
