Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Rotate the driveshaft as necessary in order to obtain the engagement with the oil pump drive unit.
  1. Install the driveshaft and the oil pump.
  2. Install the oil pump bolt to the rear crankshaft bearing cap.

    Tighten: 

    Tighten the bolt to 41 N.m (30 ft lbs) 

  3. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
