  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Passlock™ module connector. Remove instrument panel cluster to remove SECURITY indicator light bulb. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article. Reconnect instrument panel cluster harness. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between module harness connector terminal B2 (Yellow wire) and ground. See Figure. If voltage is 9-16 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not 9-16 volts, replace Passlock™ module. See PASSLOCK™ MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to step  3.
  2. Disconnect instrument panel cluster harness. Ensure ignition is on. Measure voltage between module harness connector terminal B2 (Yellow wire) and ground. See Figure. If voltage is 9-16 volts, repair short to voltage in Yellow wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is not 9-16 volts, replace instrument panel cluster. After repairs, go to next step.
  3. Reconnect all connectors and components. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear all DTCs. Perform reprogramming procedure. See PROGRAMMING .
