Diesel (Single Tank)

NOTE: Resistance between terminals "A" and "B" at fuel pump/sender (component side) should be zero ohms when tank is empty and 90 ohms when tank is full.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect fuel pump/sender harness connector. Using a fused jumper wire, ground terminal "B" (Purple wire) at fuel pump/sender harness connector. Turn ignition on. If fuel gauge indicates empty, go to step  4. If fuel gauge does not indicate empty, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector. Check continuity of Purple wire between terminal "B" at fuel pump/sender harness connector and terminal No. 16 at instrument cluster harness connector. See Figure. If continuity does not exists, go to next step. If continuity exists, go to step  5
  3. Repair open in Purple wire between fuel pump/sender and instrument cluster.
