Intake Manifold (Lower) Installation(7.4L)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 55 other vehicles, including the 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada, 1999 GMC Yukon, 1999 GMC Suburban, 1999 GMC Sonoma, and 1999 GMC Sierra. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Use NEW gaskets if old gaskets are damaged. Install gaskets with "THIS SIDE UP" stamp facing up. Apply Loctite® 242 (12345382) or equivalent, to lower intake manifold bolts. Tighten lower intake manifold bolts in sequence to specification. See Figure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. See Figure.
