Circuit Description
Injection pump delivers fuel to individual cylinders by opening and closing a solenoid control fuel valve. PCM monitors amount of time fuel solenoid valve physically takes to close after being commanded to close. Fault will occur if closure time is out of range. Response time is measured in milliseconds.
DTC will set when the following conditions are present:
- Battery voltage is greater than 10 volts but less than 16 volts.
- Engine coolant temperature is greater than 34°F (-1°C).
- Engine speed is greater than 506 RPM.
- Requested fuel rate is greater than 0.0 mm.
- Injection pump closure time is greater than 2.5 milliseconds.
