Scan tool can be used to control suspected cylinder (cylinder balance test). DTC will set when there is a mechanical failure that will cause low cylinder compression in more than one cylinder, fuel leak at high pressure fuel injection lines or nozzle, or a stuck closed fuel injector nozzle.
