Conditions For Setting DTC P1870

DTC will set under the following conditions:
- DTCs P0101, P0102 or P0103 (MAP sensor) are not present.
- DTCs P0121, P0122 or P0123 (throttle position sensor) are not present.
- DTCs P0335, P0336, P0337 or P0338 (engine speed) are not present.
- DTCs P0716 or P0717 (input speed sensor) or DTCs P0722 or P0723 (output shaft speed sensor) are not present.
- DTCs P0741 or P0742 (TCC PWM solenoid) are not present.
- DTCs P0751 or P0753 (1-2 shift solenoid) are not present.
- DTCs P0756 or P0758 (2-3 shift solenoid) are not present.
- DTC P1810 (trans. fluid pressure position switch) is not present.
- DTC P1860 (TCC PWM solenoid) is not present.
- Shift solenoid performance counters are clear.
- TCC is commanded on for more than one second.
- TCC is fully locked for more than .5 second.
- TCC commands maximum TCC capacity.
- VCM detects TCC slip speed of more than 130 RPM.
- Gear range is D4.
- Throttle angle is 12-70 percent.
- Transmission fluid temperature is 14-266°F (-10-130°C).
- All conditions are met for 10 seconds with 4th gear commanded and TCC on.
