2 Or More Select Switch Indicator Lights Remain On

  1. If ATC system check was performed, go to next step. If system check was not performed, see ATC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. Connect scan tool to DLC. Turn ignition to run position (engine off). Using scan tool, command all lights off. If all lights go off, go to next step. If all lights do not go off, go to step 4).
  3. Replace ATC control module. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . When replacement is complete, see ATC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  4. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ATC control module connectors C1 and C2. Turn ignition to run position (engine off). If lights go off, go to step 3). If lights do not go off, go to next step.
  5. Locate and repair short to ground between ATC control module and select switch in appropriate light wire circuit as indicated: Brown wire for Neutral, Pink wire for AUTO, Light Green/Black wire for 2H, Tan/Black wire for 4H or Purple/White wire for 4L. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If all circuits are okay, replace select switch assembly. When repair or replacement is complete, see ATC SYSTEM CHECK  .
