Conditions For Setting DTC

System will set DTC when ATC control module detects continued readings of front and rear drive shaft RPM signals that do not match. Control module cannot determine drive shaft speed.

System will set this DTC if front and rear drive shaft inputs indicate speed of less than 20 percent difference for 40 seconds when the following conditions exists:

This condition will disable all shifts to AUTO mode. System will not allow any further adaptive events (slip correction). SERVICE 4WD light will be on for remainder of current ignition cycle.
