DTC C0357: Park/Neutral Switch Circuit High: Testing

- If ATC system check was performed, go to next step. If system check was not performed, see ATC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Turn ignition off. Set parking brake and shift transmission to "D" position. Disconnect park/neutral position switch connector. Turn ignition to run position (engine off). Using scan tool, read park/neutral switch position. If scan tool displays switch is open, go to step 4). If scan tool does not display switch is open, go to next step.
- Disconnect brake switch assembly. Using scan tool, read park/neutral switch position. If scan tool displays switch is open, go to step 5). If scan tool does not display switch is open, go to step 6).
- Replace park/neutral position switch. When replacement is complete, go to step 7).
- Replace brake switch assembly. When replacement is complete, go to step 7).
- Locate and repair short to voltage in Light Green wire circuit. If no short is found, replace ATC control module. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . When repair or replacement is complete, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Reconnect all disconnected components. Turn ignition to run position (engine off). Using scan tool, read park/neutral switch status while shifting between "P" and "D" positions. If park/neutral switch status changes between open and closed while shifting, system is functioning properly. If park/neutral status does not change while shifting, repeat test from step 1).
