ATC control module controls transfer case brake control solenoid. Solenoid is energize (locking action released) during gear shifts and in AUTO mode. When power or ground is removed from solenoid (locking action applied), transfer case motor is prevented from moving. System is capable of proving 4H and 4L lockup without additional vehicle power to hold transfer case in these positions. This DTC detects an open solenoid coil, open circuit and/or open feed to solenoid.
