Indicator Does Not Light When Coolant Level Is Low
- Disconnect low coolant level sensor connector. Connect ohmmeter between low coolant level sensor terminals "A" (Light Green wire) and "B" (Black wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If 10-50 k/ohms are present, go to next step. If less than 10 k/ohms are present, replace low coolant level sensor.
- Disconnect low coolant level indicator module connector. Connect test light between low coolant level indicator module connector terminal "F" (Light Green wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates, repair short to ground in Light Green wire between low coolant level sensor and low coolant level indicator module.
- Disconnect instrument cluster connector. Connect test light between instrument cluster connector terminal No. 25 (Yellow/Black wire) and low coolant level indicator module connector terminal "E" (Yellow/Black wire). See Figure. See WIRING DIAGRAMS. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open in Yellow/Black wire between instrument cluster and low coolant level indicator module.
- Reconnect instrument cluster connector. Turn ignition on. Connect fused jumper wire between low coolant level indicator module connector terminal "E" (Yellow/Black wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If low coolant indicator lights, replace low coolant level indicator module. If low coolant indicator does not light, replace instrument cluster.
