Temperature Gauge Always Reads Cold (Commercial)

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Disconnect coolant temperature sender. Connect a fused jumper wire between Dark Green wire terminal at temperature sender and ground. If temperature gauge moves toward HOT, replace temperature sender. If gauge remains on COLD, go to next step.
  2. Remove jumper. Backprobe instrument cluster harness connector terminal No. 22 (Dark Green wire) to ground. If temperature gauge moves to HOT, repair open in Dark Green wire. If gauge remains on COLD, replace instrument cluster.
