All Gauges Inoperative (Commercial)

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a test light, backprobe instrument cluster connector terminal No. 27 (Pink wire) to ground. See Figure . If test light lights, go to next step. If test light does not light, repair open in Pink wire between instrument panel fuse block GAUGES fuse and instrument cluster connector.
  2. Using a test light, backprobe instrument cluster connector terminal No. 20 (Black wire) to battery power. If test light lights, go to next step. If test light does not light, repair open in Black wire between instrument cluster connector and ground connection G200. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  3. Using voltmeter, measure voltage drop between instrument cluster connector terminal No. 20 (Black wire) and ground connection G200. If voltage is less than .5 volt, go to next step. If voltage is more than .5 volt, repair high resistance in Black wire.
  4. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage drop between instrument cluster connector terminal No. 27 (Pink wire) and GAUGES fuse. If voltage is less than .5 volt, replace instrument cluster. If voltage is more than .5 volt, repair high resistance in Pink wire.
