Fog Lamps Inoperative
- Remove fog lamp relay from convenience center. Turn ignition switch to RUN. Press park lamp switch to ON. Connect a digital multimeter from fog lamp relay terminal "G1" to ground and measure voltage. If less than 10 volts exist, go to next step. If more than 10 volts exist, go to step 6).
- Backprobe fog lamp switch connector with a digital multimeter from terminal "A" to ground and measure voltage. If less than 10 volts exist, go to next step. If more than 10 volts exist, service/repair open in Yellow wire between fog lamp switch and convenience center.
- Backprobe fog lamp switch connector with a digital multimeter from terminal "C" to ground and measure voltage. If more than 10 volts exist, go to next step. If less than 10 volts exist, go to step 5).
- Backprobe fog lamp switch connector with a test lamp from terminal "C" to "E". If test lamp lights, replace fog lamp switch. If test lamp does not light, service/repair open in Black wire between splice and fog lamp switch.
- Backprobe headlamp and panel dimmer switch connector with a test lamp from terminal "S" to ground. If test lamp lights, service/repair open in Brown wire between fog lamp switch and headlamp and panel dimmer switch. If test lamp does not light, replace headlamp and panel dimmer switch.
- Connect test lamp from fog lamp relay terminal "G1" to "H3". If test lamp lights, go to next step. If test lamp does not light, check for an open in Dark Green/White wire between daytime running lights (DRL) module and convenience center. If okay, replace DRL module.
- Connect a test lamp from fog lamp relay terminal "H1" to ground. If test lamp lights, go to next step. If test lamp does not light, service/repair open in Orange wire between instrument panel fuse block and convenience center.
- Connect a fused jumper from fog lamp relay terminals "H1" to "G3". If fog lamps light, replace fog lamp relay. If fog lamps do not light, service/repair open in Purple wire between convenience center and splice.
