DTC 9 - Open Or Shorted Speed Signal Circuit: Notes

NOTE:
Perform SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC CHECK
before performing trouble shooting procedure.
- Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between terminals No. 12 and No. 5 of DLC. See Figure . If voltage is 8-15 volts, go to step 3). If voltage is not 8-15 volts, go to next step.
- Repair open or high resistance in White wire circuit. Clear DTCs. See CLEARING CODES . Perform testing procedures under SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC CHECK .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect EBCM 6-pin connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between White wire and Black wire terminals of EBCM 6-pin connector. If voltage is not 8-15 volts, go to step 5). If voltage is 8-15 volts, go to next step.
- Repair intermittent connection in White wire circuit. Clear DTCs. See CLEARING CODES . Perform testing procedures under SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC CHECK .
- Repair open or short to ground in White wire circuit. Clear DTCs. See CLEARING CODES . Perform testing procedures under SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC CHECK .
