Mode Shifts

A mode shift is a shift from 2HI to 4HI or 4HI to 2HI and can be performed with vehicle at any speed. If transfer case is in 2HI, transfer case can be shifted into 4HI by pressing and releasing the 4HI area on transfer case selector switch. Green status indicator light on transfer case selector switch will flash to indicate a 2HI or 4HI shift is initiated and continue to flash until the TCCM completes the shift or until 30 seconds elapses. After shift is complete, Green status indicator light will remain on to indicate transfer case is in 4HI position.

If shifting transfer case from 4HI to 2HI, press 4HI area on transfer case selector switch again. Green status indicator light will flash until shift to 2HI is complete and then light will turn off.
