Vehicle Speed Sensor Buffer

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 GMC Sonoma. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Information for VSS buffer part number applicable to axle ratio and tire size combinations is not available from manufacturer.

If axle ratio or tire size is changed, it is necessary to replace VSS buffer to ensure proper operation of RWAL brakes, cruise control, speedometer and engine management computer. Failure to replace VSS buffer as required may affect driveability of vehicle and RWAL brake operation.
