Gauge Always Indicates Full

  1. Unplug fuel gauge sending unit wire. Turn ignition on. Connect a fused jumper wire from harness connector Pink wire to ground. If gauge indicates empty, go to next step. If gauge indicates full, check for short circuit in Pink wire to fuel gauge. If wire is okay, replace fuel gauge.
  2. Connect fused jumper between Pink and Black wires of fuel sending unit harness connector. If fuel gauge indicates full, repair open in Black wire. If fuel gauge indicates empty, replace fuel sending unit.
