Gauge Always Indicates Empty

Unplug fuel gauge sending unit wire. Turn ignition on. Allow time for gauge to respond. If gauge indicates full, replace fuel gauge sending unit. If gauge indicates empty, check for short circuit in Pink wire. If circuit is okay, replace fuel gauge.
