Stabilizer Bar: Removal

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove stabilizer bar-to-frame bolts, nuts and clamps. On Bravada, Jimmy, Sonoma, Typhoon and "T" Series Blazer & Pickup, remove stabilizer bar-to-lower control arm bolts, nuts and clamps.
- On Astro, "K" Series Blazer & Pickup, Safari, Sierra, Suburban and Yukon, remove stabilizer bar-to-lower control arm bolt, nut and spacer. Remove stabilizer bar from vehicle. Remove stabilizer bar bushings.
- Inspect bushings for deformation and deterioration. Check stabilizer bar and clamps for excessive wear and damage. Replace as necessary.
