Diagnostic Aids

If PCM, control circuitry and shift solenoids are functioning properly and transmission still does not shift correctly, problem may be hydraulic or mechanical.

4T60 SHIFT SOLENOID OPERATING SEQUENCE

Gear Solenoid A Solenoid B
1st Gear Closed Closed
2nd Gear Open (1) Closed
3rd Gear Open (1) (1) Open
4th Gear Closed (1) Open
(1) Open = De-energized
