Gauge Reads Low Or No Pressure

  1. Ensure oil level is correct. Test oil pressure with manual gauge and adapter. If oil pressure reading is good on manual gauge tester, disconnect lead at sending unit.
  2. Turn ignition on. If gauge still reads low, check for short in Tan wire. If wire is okay, replace instrument cluster. If gauge reads high, replace sending unit.
