2-Piece Drive Shafts

Measure rear drive shaft runout. Reference mark position of rear drive shaft yoke to the pinion flange. Remove rear drive shaft and measure front drive shaft runout, both on the tube and at the tapered hole on the splined end. If the runout exceeds specifications, rotate rear drive shaft 180 degrees at pinion flange and install. Check runout again.
