Shock Absorber: Removal

  1. Raise vehicle on a hoist.
  2. Remove the upper shock nut (1) and the bolt (2) from the frame bracket. See Fig 1.
  3. Remove the lower shock nut (3), the washer (4), and the bolt (5) from the axle bracket. See Fig 1.
  4. Remove the shock absorber (6) from the vehicle. See Fig 1.
