Depending on ECM/PCM prom calibration, shift light responds as follows: shows driver when to upshift for best fuel economy, indicates engine RPM greater than 4000, or is inoperative on models without this option. See SHIFT INDICATOR LIGHT APPLICATION table. Driver should disregard light during downshift.
