Upper Control Arm: Installation

To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure alignment shims are installed in original location, with concave and convex sides together. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Check wheel alignment. See ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS/PROCEDURES article in the WHEEL ALIGNMENT section.

NOTE: Normal shim pack will leave at least 2 bolt threads exposed beyond nut. If 2 bolt threads are not exposed, check for damaged control arms and components. Thickness difference between front and rear shim packs must not exceed .30" (7.6 mm). Front shim pack thickness must be at least .24" (6.1 mm). Tighten thinner shim pack nut first.
