Manifold Absolute Pressure (Map) Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Dodge Ram Wagon, 1995 Dodge Ram Van, 1995 Dodge Pickup, and 1995 Dodge Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. MAP sensor is connected to side of throttle body by a rubber fitting. Inspect rubber connection to sensor, and repair as needed.
NOTE: MAP sensor test must be performed with wiring connector connected.
  2. Measure MAP sensor output voltage at connector center terminal. With ignition switch in ON position (KOEO), output voltage should be 4.0-5.0 volts. With engine running, sensor output voltage should be 1.5-2.1 volts. Replace MAP sensor if voltage is not as specified.
