Cylinder Head: Inspection

- Check cylinder head warpage. Resurface or replace cylinder head if warpage exceeds specification. See CYLINDER HEAD SPECIFICATIONS table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS.CAUTION: DO NOT grind more than .008" (.20 mm) total from cylinder head surface and cylinder block deck surface.
- Hold a straightedge across threads of cylinder head bolt. If threads fail to contact straightedge in all areas, cylinder head bolts are stretched and must be replaced.
