Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Inspection

  1. Ensure all oil holes in cylinder head are not restricted. Inspect camshaft and cylinder head journal areas for damage. Inspect distributor drive gear for damage.
  2. Measure camshaft lobe height. Replace camshaft if damaged or camshaft lobe height is not within specification. See CAMSHAFT  table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS.
