Rocker Arm & Lash Adjuster: Installation

- To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure lash adjusters are at least partially full of oil before installing. Little or no plunger travel should exist when lash adjuster is depressed.
- Ensure components are installed in original locations. Check clearance between rocker arm ear and valve spring retainer. See Figure. Clearance must be at least .050" (1.27 mm). If insufficient clearance exists, grind rocker arm ears to correct clearance. Install valve cover.
CAUTION:
Ensure valve spring retainer locks are fully seated after servicing rocker arms.
