Place a new gasket (dipped in clean water) on water box surface, center thermostat in water box on gasket. Place housing over gasket, and thermostat, making sure thermostat is in the thermostat housing. Bolt housing to water box (Figure). Tighten bolts to 28 N.m (250 in. lbs.). Refill cooling system.
