Valve Seats

  1. Ensure valve seat angle, seat width and seat runout are within specification. See CYLINDER HEAD  table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS.
  2. If valve face and/or valve seats have been ground, measure valve stem installed height from spring seat of cylinder head to tip of valve. See Figure. Distance should be 1.960-2.009" (49.78-51.03 mm). Grind valve tip if necessary.
