Cylinder Block

  1. Using a feeler gauge and straightedge, check cylinder block head surface for warpage. Measure cylinder bore, taper and out-of-round. Measure at .375" (9.52 mm) below top surface of cylinder bore, middle of bore and .375" (9.52 mm) from bottom of cylinder bore.
  2. Repair or replace cylinder block if measurements are not within specification. See CYLINDER BLOCK  table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS.
