Test 88B - No Sound From One Speaker

CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
NOTE:

section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B after each repair.
NOTE:
Radio must remain on during this test.
- Turn radio on. Disconnect both inoperative door speaker and Instrument Panel (IP) speaker connectors. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door speaker connector terminal No. 3 (Dark Green wire on left side speakers; Violet wire on right side speakers). If voltage is less than 5 volts, repair open Dark Green wire or Violet wire. If voltage is more than 5 volts, go to next step.
- Check voltage on door speaker connector terminal No. 2 (Brown/Red wire on left side speakers; Dark Blue/White wire on right side speakers). If voltage is less than 5 volts, repair open Brown/Red wire or Dark Blue/White wire. If voltage is more than 5 volts, replace speaker.
