Test 74A - Doors Fail To Unlock From Any Switch

section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Remove door unlock relay (third relay from right, bottom row) from micro relay center, located behind center console. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door unlock relay connector (Pink/Violet wire). Observe scan tool voltage while pressing each power door lock switch to UNLOCK position. If voltage is less than 10 volts when each switch is pressed, repair open Pink/Violet wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts when each switch is pressed, go to next step.
- Check voltage on door unlock relay connector (Red wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Red wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of unlock relay connector terminal "E" (Black wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Ensure door lock relay is installed (fourth relay from right, bottom row). Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of unlock relay connector (Pink/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace door unlock relay. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Remove door lock relay. Check resistance of door lock relay connector terminal "D" (Black wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace door lock relay.
