Test 6A - No Chime W/ Key Out, Ext Lamps On & LF Door Open

CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B after each repair.
  1. Remove key from ignition switch. Turn headlamps on. Place dimmer slide switch in center position. Open LF door. If chime sounds, system is okay at this time. If chime does not sound, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, read LF door ajar switch status. If scan tool does not display LF DOOR AJAR CLOSED, go to TEST 26A. If scan tool displays LF DOOR AJAR CLOSED, go to next step.
  3. Using scan tool, read headlamp (STEP UP) status. If scan tool does not display STEP UP OFF, go to TEST 38A. If scan tool displays STEP UP OFF, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition on, engine off. Using scan tool, read ignition voltage. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to TEST 3A. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace body control module.
