Test 42A - Electro/Mechanical Instrument Cluster Diagnostics

CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:
Electro/Mechanical Instrument Cluster (MIC) is an electronic cluster receiving information from CCD link and displaying information in analog gauges. These test procedures cover both base and premium MIC.
- If all MIC gauges are inoperative, go to TEST 54A. Using scan tool, read instrument cluster I.D. status. If scan tool displays EIC/US, go to TEST 43A. If all gauges are inaccurate or erratic, go to TEST 46A. If some gauges are operating, if scan tool does not display EIC/US, and/or some gauges are accurate and not erratic, go to next step.
