Test TC-1A - Checking For Fault Codes

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see appropriate G - TESTS W/ CODES article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section:
  1. Attempt to start engine. If necessary, crank engine for up to 10 seconds. Connect DRB to Data Link Connector (DLC). Record DRB trouble codes. If DRB screen shows no response, go to TEST NS-6A in appropriate G - TESTS W/ CODES article (see above) in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section. If DRB has an error message or blank screen, go to DRB PROBLEMS & ERROR MESSAGES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. If fault codes are displayed, see DRB FAULT MESSAGES table. Only fault codes relating to charging system are listed. For all other fault codes, See TEST TC-1A in appropriate G - TESTS W/ CODES article (see above) in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section. If no fault codes are displayed, go to TEST CH-1A .
DRB FAULT MESSAGES

DRB Display Go To Test:
BATTERY TEMP. SENSOR VOLTS OUT OF LIMIT TEST TC-5A 
GENERATOR FIELD NOT SWITCHING PROPERLY TEST TC-2A 
CHARGING SYSTEM VOLTAGE LOW TEST TC-3A 
CHARGING SYSTEM VOLTAGE HIGH TEST TC-4A
