Removal & Installation

  1. Low-pressure fuel solenoid is located on a bracket on right front strut tower. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PURGING  . Disconnect negative battery cable. Use Snap-On Quick Release Fuel Line Tool (9055-2) to disconnect fuel hose at outlet side of solenoid. See Fig 1 .
  2. Disconnect solenoid harness connector. Unbolt fuel line hold-down clamp at strut tower. Unbolt solenoid from mounting bracket. Remove fuel line and fitting from inlet side of solenoid. To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply thread sealant to solenoid pipe threads.
