Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Plymouth Voyager and 1995 Dodge Caravan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PURGING  . Drain a small amount of coolant from radiator. Raise and support vehicle.
  2. Place a drain pan under fuel pressure regulator, and disconnect coolant hoses. Disconnect regulator harness connector. Clean area around fuel tubes and fittings. Disconnect fuel tubes. Remove 4 regulator-to-frame rail mounting bolts, and remove regulator.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fuel pressure regulator-to-frame rail mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Connect fuel tubes, and check for tightness using go/no-go gauge. See FUEL TUBES & FITTINGS  .
