Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Plymouth Voyager and 1995 Dodge Caravan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PURGING  . Remove shield(s) as needed. Disconnect fuel tube from fuel fill receptacle. Remove receptacle mounting nut. Remove receptacle.
  2. Install receptacle in mounting bracket. Apply thread locking compound to receptacle threads, and install mounting nut. Connect fuel tube. Check fuel tube for proper tightness using go/no-go gauge. See FUEL TUBES & FITTINGS  .
