Fuel Injectors: Removal

  1. Remove fuel rail. See FUEL INJECTOR RAILS  . Disconnect injector wiring connector from injector. Position fuel rail assembly so injectors are accessible.
  2. Rotate and pull injector out of fuel rail (clip will remain on injector). Inspect injector "O" ring and clip for damage. Replace "O" ring if it is damaged. If injector is to be reused, install a protective cap on injector tip to prevent damage. Replace clip if it is damaged. Repeat for remaining injectors.
