Low-Pressure Fuel Shutoff Solenoid

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Dodge Ram Wagon, 1995 Dodge Ram Van, 1995 Dodge Pickup, and 1995 Dodge Dakota. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Low-pressure fuel shutoff solenoid is controlled by the PCM through ASD relay. The solenoid is mounted to inlet side of fuel injector rail. After cylinder pressure has been lowered by fuel pressure regulator, this solenoid is used as an on-off valve to electrically control fuel entering fuel rail assembly.
